A big release today, because it is my birthday :3
(well actually it’s today because I couldn’t think of anything clever to do on April Fool’s day, haha >.>)
Glaucos- In these chapters, we get to see more of Petit, who looks just as creepy as a kid than as an adult. Also more of the relationship between him and Claude.
The Deadly Dried Squid Technique- If you’ve ever had a guy steal your girl through the use of a squid-related judo move, this oneshot will definitely speak to you!
It straddles the line between being comedic and just plain odd. If I had to give it some deep meaning, I’d say it speaks to the futility of life. Sometimes the bad guys just win, and the good guys get embarrassed. It also deals with rape and has an adult scene, so this one’s not for the kiddies :)
The Outside Inflation- The outside inexplicably threatens to collapse a man’s house, leading him out to a world of anxiety and oddness in this minimalist story. The art style in this is very different than regular manga; up to you if you like that minamalism or find it too expressionless. Also, the ending sort of reminds me of being digested… I wonder if Tsuge is into vore XD There are some elements of that in some of his other oneshots I hope to do, although it’s not really major.
The Music of Marie- In this chapter there is more of the pilgrimage, but the focus is on what the manga’s really about- The reason for Marie’s existance and her effect on mankind, drawing parallels to our own world. In the next chapter things really start to get interesting ;)
Well that’s all. The next release I think will be another chapter of Voices in the Dark.

This is the beginning of volume 3.
I thought this story deserved nicer raws than the ones I had, so that’s why it’s taken so long since the last release of this.
As for the next release, it will probably be another chapter or Marie, or maybe Voices in the Dark, or maybe more Glaucos. Who really knows \o/
In other manga news, I received the first volume of Pluto published by Viz which I’d preordered. It came earlier than I expected. oO
Anyway, I really liked it, and I’m happy it’s getting published. If you’re a fan of this series, or Naoki Urasawa, or Osamu Tezuka, I encourage you to buy it. It’s even got an interview in the back and some more information on the manga. Very pleasant.
I eagerly await volume two!

This is a oneshot by Anzai Mizumaru which was in Garo in 1975. If I could describe it in a few words, I’d say “poetic”, “lonely”, and “deliberate”. There’s a touch of the sadness that comes at the end of summer, the transition into cold and quiet. It feels heavy with undertones. Every word seems deliberate and filled with meaning, which is why I tried hard to make the translation do it justice. I hope I did okay.
Comments are appreciated if you have a suggestion or something else to say!
(Thanks to bakeneko for the french translation.)

Happy New Year everyone!
It’s been a long time since there was a release of this great manga, more than a year since Kotonoha finished volume one. I wanted to read more of this, and because it’s best to do something than just sit around and complain, here this is. ^^
I hope you enjoy; if you haven’t begun to read this then do so, because it’s really great. It’s probably my favorite work of Usamaru Furuya; so far anyway ;)

Here is Log 21 of Glaucos, the last chapter of the second volume. In the next release of Glaucos we’ll probably do more at once, since the chapters are short, but I just wanted volume 2 to be over first.
This is a series I’m really fond of, so I hope you enjoy!

Well, this was a bit unplanned, but here is chapter one of Genkaku Picasso by Furuya Usamaru!
It’s about the very bishified Hikari who was dubbed “Picasso” by his classmates through his talent for drawing, and a spelling mistake (ヒカリ -> ヒカソ -> ピカソ)
Through an accident he gains the ability to draw what is inside people’s hearts and help them solve their problems.
As always, Furuya Usamaru shows how awesome he is at all different types of art and storytelling.
Thanks to haya5h1 for the scans, Lingwe for the translation, and NymphStealer for the color spread (above).
This chapter was partially edited with Photoshop CS4, and I have to say…. well it’s about the same a CS3. ^^ But greyer.
And cloning has this cool thing where you can see what you’re about to clone (hard to decribe). There’s also these things called 3D rotating and 3D orbiting, which I have no idea what they do. Zooming is also nicer, and smoother, and you can do fullscreen (which you could probably do in CS3 but I was too dumb to notice until they put the button in front of me xD)
Overall it feels more polished, and I like it, but nothing huge to write home about (unless you’re a big fan of 3D orbiting~)
Well there you go, a scanlation and a software review. What more could you want. ^^
Hope you enjoy; comments are appreciated!
Next chapter should come out pretty soon.
